The Port Adelaide Enfield Council (PAEC) should COMMIT TO URGENTLY REPLACE the Community Owned Waterslide at the Semaphore Foreshore for MANY REASONS. The Councilors have excepted The PAEC MANAGEMENTS TEAM REPORT and VOTED to CLOSE AND DEMOLISH the  ICONIC Waterslide instead of repairing their own structure WITH NO PLANS TO REPLACE IT.

The PAEC want to DEMOLISH the waterslide as soon as they can so HOPEFULLY YOU FORGET IT WAS EVER THERE! There has been NO COMMUNITY CONSULTATION which is completely WRONG.

Once again we will LOSE another fantastic OUTDOOR ACTIVITY that our CHILDREN and Families have enjoyed for almost 40 years. THIS DECISION STINKS of their own Lawyers, Insurance Companies and the PAEC running as fast as they can from their responsibilities of being a Waterslide (Amusement) Owner and listening to the ratepayers, and shifting the blame to a SAFTEY DECISION . IF SOMETHING IS BROKEN , THEN COMMIT TO FIX IT OR REPLACE IT WITH A NEW WATERSLIDE PARK COUNCIL!!,Now is the time to committing to build a MODERN BEAUTIFUL WATERSLIDE PARK for the Community, like Other Local Councils have done. $$$$ Millions of DOLLARS $$$$$ are available to all Councils in GOVERNMENT GRANTS to upgrade or replace their own infrastructure NOW so COMMIT TO IT! 

This decision has DEVESTATED the Semaphore Waterslide Complex Business which has a A1 SAFTEY RECORD and dedicated their lives and own money into entertaining the Public, Schools, OSHC, Social Clubs, DCP Services, Sporting Clubs for many years and have now been left with NO WAY TO SURVIVE as it is the main income of the business. Its Cruel and Disgusting Council!! ALSO STOP threatening All Business owners with the PUBLIC OWNED Council Asset Leases just because you can. ITS A VERY ABUSIVE BUSINESS MODEL! Don't vote to demolish Community assets without having a plan to replace them FIRST!

WAKE UP COUNCIL AND LISTEN TO WHAT THE PUBLIC WANT!!
