Farmers may be the most underrated profession in the country but they hold the backbone of agricultural system. As a matter of fact agriculture plays a huge role  for a country to progress especially when it comes to a country's economy  and here in the Philippines, According to Philippine Statistics Authority, agriculture contributes an average of 9.8 percent to the Gross Domestic Product as of 2020 and the main agricultural enterprise is crop cultivation. Aside from its contribution on the economy and employment, agricultural products are the main source of our food.

The Philippines has a lot of arable lands and the climate is conducive for agricultural activities which just proves that the government should prioritize agriculture even if industrialization is important for the economy because as the population grows the demand for food increases also, which is why there is projected food shortage in the coming decades. And according from our national hero Jose Rizal  "We cannot all be doctors; someone has to till the soil", yet I know that everyone desires a better life however, in our present time our government isn't providing enough support for our farmers as our farmers battle calamities and pests which forces them to sell their crops at a very cheap price. Our farmers had already raised their concerns to our government and to us however we are too blind and deaf to see it and hear them. 

As I say it again, without our farmers for sure we will all be hungry and in the coming decades food access will become limited to us as food shortage would surely increase which is why we citizens should do our part also. Let us all help raise the concerns of our farmers to our government. Let us help our farmers by simply give them the right amount they should have  on selling their agricultural products. For a world without Farmers is a world without Future, our Farmers are the future!
