Where there is life, there is a river!

Where there is life, there is a river!
The Issue
It is estimated that more than 600 million liters of polluted water and sewage, originating from Hyderabad and Secunderabad, flow into the Musi river every day. Due to rapid urbanization and lack of well-planned sewage systems, the river has become a cesspool for untreated domestic, radioactive, and industrial waste.
Pollution of the Musi river has directly affected agriculture and fishing, creating high-risk conditions in the food intake. Arthritis, diarrhea, skin allergies, stomach pain, and food poisoning are just a few conditions observed for the inhabitants near the river.
We demand the Government of Telangana and the Citizens of Hyderabad -
a) to take necessary steps to stop the release of deadly untreated waste into the Musi river.
b) to invest more money to develop better and well-planned sewage treatment systems and
c) to rejuvenate the natural ecosystem by cleaning the Musi river.
Let’s revive the river Musi and save the lifeline of Hyderabad.
