GOVERNMENT OF TELANGANA

The Government of Telangana is the governing authority of the Indian state of Telangana, located in the southern part of the country. Established on 2nd June 2014, following the passing of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act by the Parliament of India, the government operates within the framework of a parliamentary system, with the Governor as the constitutional head, although the de facto executive authority rests with the Chief Minister. Its legislature is the unicameral Telangana Legislative Assembly, and its judiciary includes the High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad. As per the constitutional framework of India, the Telangana government maintains its own local government with powers over a range of public services including water, health care and urban planning.
