Hello and thank you for taking to the time read this, 

My son and I have started this petition for something he and I both feel strongly about. In his high school, ( we live in Essex), girls have uniform options, (skirts or trousers), however the boys can only wear trousers. We would like the boys especially, but also girls who do not like to wear skirts, to be able to have the option of shorts in school! Blazers are mandatory through all weathers for all Children, however we feel especially when it is warm outside shorts should be an option for those who would like to wear them. We hoped a petition with enough signatures may be enough to help change this! 
In this day and age, where equality is spoken about often and regularly, we are surprised that this has not yet been looked at and we are hoping now is the time for change! 

Please note the photo I have taken off Google, which is why I have taken their faces out But I hope it shows well the difference in uniform options for boys and girls and how unfair this is especially on the boys whilst it has been so warm!
