A young 26 years old doctor identified as Dr. Rahul Basumatary was brutally murdered in his rented accommodation in Jorhat, Assam. He was working as an Intern-doctor at Dr. J K Memorial Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Jorhat. He hails from the Udalguri district of Assam and completed his degree in Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery in 2019. This heinous act has shaken everyone to the core. Safety in one's own home is under great threat and no reason justifies cold-blooded murder. 

We request the government of Assam to initiate fair inquiry and book the culprits as soon as possible. We call upon the government to ensure that investigations by the police are fast-tracked and justice is delivered to him and his bereaved family. we have faith in the capability of the judiciary and its goodwill towards addressing the plight of students and youth in general. Your intervention in this matter is the need of the hour. We ardently await your response.
