Announce Narsipatnam as District HeadQuarters
Why this petition matters
Dear Brothers and Sisters of Narsipatnam.
We have been cheated by the YSR Congress Government which has ignored our Narsipatnam and announced Anakapalle as the new District as part of its effort to carve out 13 new districts in Andhra Pradesh, taking the total number of districts to 26.
Current MLA Petla Ganesh who earlier promised to make Narsipatnam is hopeless and helpless, unable to even get an appointment from the Chief Minister to discuss issues relating to Narsipatnam. It is our duty to protect the pride of our great region that was the battleground of brave warriors like Alluri Sitarama Raju Garu who laid down their lives for the freedom and sovereignty we enjoy today. Where is our warrior spirit? Why have we become silent when we are being cheated of our rights? The government has called for Objections or Suggestions in writing from people within 30 days of the notification. It is time to raise our voice, sign this petition, send letters and undo the injustice done to our region.
Large tracts of Lands available in Narsipatnam
Called the Gateway to the Agency region, Narsipatnam enjoys the unique distinction of being a thriving Revenue Division right from the days of British rule. Earlier governments including Telugu Desam and Congress protected the Government lands for future use. Special mention must be made about Mr. Ch Ayyannapatrudu who was the legislator of the region several times, serving as a minister with key portfolios. He was instrumental in getting large tracts of land allocated for important infrastructure and administrative assignments that transformed Narsipatnam into a hub for business, administration, education, healthcare and other important services. With a forevision to see Narsipatnam as a district, Mr. Ch Ayyannapatrudu took great care and initiative to protect the government land bank for future use.
