Chemical safety improvements

0 have signed. Let’s get to 200!

Surely, you must be aware that, of the 82,000 manufactured chemicals available for use in the U.S., only about 200 were required to be tested for safety. In fact, our 33-year-old law regulating chemical exposure is so inadequate that China legally exports materials into the U.S. that are too toxic for domestic use in China and are banned in Japan and Europe. We must reform and strengthen the Toxic Substances Control Act . I urge you to support legislation that will give the Environmental Protection Agency the funds and power needed to assess the safety of all chemicals to protect our health and that of the planet; now.
