Charity begins at home

The Issue

Let us stop sending the aircraft carriers ( how much do they cast to run) to assist other countries in strife, (earthquakes, tornadoes, terrorists), until we stop the sleeping in the streets of good ole America!  It amazes me how we can have soo much foreign aid going out only to have people here in America sleeping in the streets and eating in soup lines daily.  Why not make 2 years mandatory service to our country in the service of the military as a requirement for citizenship? Our children will find out the world does NOT owe them a thing and the "foreigners" will find that to truely realize freedom, you have to earn it.

Neal Simms SrPetition StarterI am a retired Marine whom served my country for 20 years, 11 months, and 9 days. I gave them the 11 months and 9 days so they could NOT dispute I did my 20 years service,,,,Send me the money. After retireing, I went to college and attained my AS degree in Criminal Justice. Then I went to work for Proctor and Gamble as a mechanic on the diaper manufacturing machines, till they closed the plant. Then I worked for ConAgra as a mechanic on the high speed canning machinery. I contracted COPD and sleep apnea and am now on constant oxygen therapy and disabled, unable to work.
