As an individual deeply moved and disturbed by the tragic death of Gabby Petito, I feel compelled to stand against those aiding and abetting criminal activities. One such concern involves Christopher and Roberta Laundrie, parents of Brian Laundrie, who not only hired an attorney once they learned that Brian killed Gabby, but continued to hide Brian, and all of their involvement, and circumstances surrounding Gabby Petito's disappearance and subsequent death. The spirit of justice demands that they be held accountable if proven their involvement in assisting their son in the alleged cover-up. The stakes are high, for this is not just about Gabby, but a reflection on society's response to crimes that hit hardest at the core of our humanity. This contemptuous act, if left unanswered, could potentially compromise societal safety, as it empowers the wrongdoers with the courage to continue their nefarious conducts. We must raise our voices to signal a strong message that aiding in a crime is as grievous as committing it. In light of this, we hereby call on the authorities to charge Christopher and Roberta Laundrie for their alleged involvement in this senseless and devastating case. I watched the new Netflix regarding Gabby: American Murder: Gabby Petito.

It was much more eye-opening than any other information the public has received. It included text messages, others in their lives, evidence, and much more. Christopher and Roberta Laundrie need to be behind bars. Brian called them as soon as he killed her and told them; they hired a lawyer that day and wired $25,000 to the attorney. Then they hid Brian, lied, and concealed all of the details. Additionally, Roberta wrote a letter to Brian with “burn after reading” on it stating how she would help bury a body, etc.

I’m starting this petition. Even if it goes nowhere, given all the legalities of this case, this evil pair needs to stay in the spotlight, and parents assisting their murderous kids need to spend their lives in jail, where Brian would be if they had done the right thing!

I have had friends go through abuse like this, and a current friend is enduring the same. No one does anything! I always say something and continue to, but everyone else acts like everything is good, I guess, to maintain a relationship with the person being abused. Then things like this happen to victims like them, or they continue to be beaten and/or mentally abused while everyone turns their heads.

We preach being honest, but we are not, are we? We preach looking out for our loved ones, but if it does not come with cushioning, people don’t. Then tragedy and abuse continue. It’s not popular to be honest when things get scary and ugly, and it’s lonely at times, but it’s better than pretending and watching those I love lose themselves. Take a stand and sign this petition.
