Changing final evaluation of DEN1070H- oral exam to reflective essay

The Issue

Dear fellow graduate students,

The course DEN1070H - Advances in Dental Materials Science, which we are enrolled in, currently has a final evaluation format that consists of an oral exam. However, we believe that this format is not the most effective way to assess our knowledge and understanding of the subject matter.

Therefore, we are proposing a change in the final evaluation format to a reflective essay (500-1000 words in length) based on the course material as it relates to our respective specialties. This would allow us to demonstrate our knowledge and understanding of the course material as it applies to our daily clinical practice.

However, in order for this change to be officially implemented, we need a unanimous vote from all graduate students enrolled in the course. We kindly request your signature on the attached petition to show your support for this change in the evaluation format.

Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Endo residents
