This petition has been created by the students of Fairfield Warde High School and Fairfield Ludlowe High School. We are requesting a change in the final exam schedule for the June 2023, specifically changing the scheduled exam dates from June 7-12th to June 6th-9th, dedicating the 9th as the last day of school, as it is a Friday & so that the 12th can be a makeup day. 

The current exam schedule includes a Monday exam day, which places an undue burden on students and families as it disrupts planned travel and vacation schedules. Moreover, it extends the academic year by an additional day, which has proven to be a challenge for both students and teachers alike.

By changing the exam schedule to take place on June 6th-9th, we believe that it would greatly benefit the students, families, and staff of both high schools. This change would eliminate the need for students to come into school on June 12th, and would also provide more time for families to plan their summer vacations.

We understand that changes to the exam schedule may require significant planning and coordination. However, we believe that this change is important and would greatly benefit everyone involved.
