This petition seeks to question the legality of privately owned speed cameras in Queensland (Qld), Australia. The use of these devices has been a contentious issue, with concerns raised about their potential misuse and infringement on civil liberties. According to data from the Department of Transport and Main Roads, there were over 1 million speeding offences recorded in Qld in 2019 alone.
