The world was enlightened about the Yulin festival that occurs in China every year recently. And now, to everyone's shock, Kerala (apparently God's own country) is supporting them- by passing a bill to export the strays to China for the same. Kerala has been in the spotlight before for its inhumane methods of treating its stray dog problem- by poisoning them. Through this petition, I urge you to stop them in their tracks and let the world know what our country is up to. They hide their sick mindsets behind one statement "It's tradition". Apologies for the language used, but tradition can go f**k itself if it involves the slaughter of any animal. Dogs, no matter how many or how little, are beneficial to everyone's surroundings and killing them or capturing them and exporting them to be blowtorched alive is no way to control their population. The government has made provisions for the sam. The capture-neuter-release program is present to implement population control over stray canines. Anbody who has or has had a dog will understand why this needs to stop. I urge everyone who reads this to sign this petition and be the voice these animals lack. Stand up against animal abuse.
