Defend the Sacred! Stop Trump From Coming on Ancestral Lands! - Hidalgo Visit 01/12/21
The Issue
Donald Trump is set to come to Hidalgo County on Tuesday January 12, 2021 to attend "an unspecified dedication" at the "US-Mexico border wall".
We the Esto'k Gna (original people) of Somi S'ek (so-called Texas) do not want Trump on our ancestral land. Enough is enough. We do not recognize him as he believes insurrection, treason, sedition are ways of life, he lacks a connection to a true cultural lifeways and instead exhibits racist behaviors towards the original Native people to these lands. We do not want this division in our lands. This division encourages his cult that brings more hatered into our lands, especially against the original people on both sides of the river. We are concerned about the violence Trump brings with him. We do not promote hate and violence as we are a peaceful people. We call for his arrest for inciting riots and further endangering people and the lands with his dangerous rhetoric.
- Juan B. Mancias, Tribal Chairman and the Esto'k Gna (Carrizo Comecrudo) Tribe of Somi S'ek (Texas)
