Save Austin Bus Route 21/22
0 have signed. Let’s get to 200!
CapMetro is proposing to eliminate the Route 21/22, and we, the community, say no!
The CapMetro Board will be voting this Wednesday, November 15th at noon at 2910 East 5th Street on whether to put these changes into effect starting June 2018. This is an open meeting, so if this is important to you, please sign this petition and do what you can to be there!
Route 21/22 services East Austin, Cherrywood, Central Austin, West Campus, Tarrytown, Clarksville, Downtown, East Cesar Chavez, and Holly. Removing this line effects the entire region. If anything, CapMetro should be increasing the frequency of this line, not eliminating it entirely.
- This change means there will no longer be a north/south route through East Austin that services the UT area.
- This change means there will no longer be a bus that runs the entirety of Exposition Blvd.
- This change means there will no longer be a single bus that loops around the city to service all of these neighborhoods: East Austin, Cherrywood, UT, Central Austin, West Campus, Tarrytown, Clarksville, Downtown, East Cesar Chavez, and Holly. Instead you'll have to transfer, transfer, transfer, increasing your wait time and your travel time.
Thank you for showing your support by signing this petition so CapMetro knows that we, the community, are not ok with this proposed change.
