The Issue

To: claire valdez
From: Concerned voters and community members in Congressional District 7.

We are calling on you to publicly condemn antisemitism in all its forms and commit to standing with the Jewish community in new york .

Over the past year, Jewish Americans have faced a surge in antisemitic incidents - from vandalism and harassment to violent attacks. In our own district, Jewish students, families, and business owners have reported feeling unsafe and unseen by their elected representatives.

Silence in moments like this is interpreted as acceptance. As someone seeking to represent all constituents in, we expect you to make it clear that antisemitism has no place here, and that you will speak out against it regardless of political convenience.

We ask that you:

1. *Issue a public statement* condemning antisemitism and reaffirming the safety and belonging of Jewish residents in.
2. *Meet with local Jewish leaders* within the next 30 days to hear concerns directly and discuss concrete steps to address antisemitism locally.
3. *Commit to voting against legislation and opposing rhetoric that targets, harasses, or delegitimizes the Jewish community.

This is not a partisan issue. It’s about basic safety, dignity, and the expectation that every candidate for Congress will stand against hate.

The Jewish community in is watching. We will share your response with voters ahead of the election.

Sign below if you agree: Candidate Valdez must speak out now.
