It has disrupted their personal, academic, and work lives, and has become prevalent in schools and neighbourhoods. This widespread accessibility puts our youth and vulnerable populations at risk.

Second, we must control the distribution of cannabis more effectively. This includes prohibiting stores from operating near sensitive locations such as schools, libraries, parks, public spaces, religious spaces, homeless shelters, rehab centres, hospitals, police stations, and government buildings. These steps will provide layers of protection for our most vulnerable citizens and uphold the well-being of our community.

Implementing these measures is not only a matter of public safety but also essential for the healthy development of youth. It is crucial that we create an environment where they can grow without the influence of substances that could hinder their potential.
