Growing up in South Africa, I've witnessed firsthand the struggles many of our citizens face daily. Yet, under the leadership of President Cyril Ramaphosa, these issues have only worsened. I remember the hope we all felt when he took office, with promises of revitalizing our economy and addressing long-standing societal problems like unemployment. However, it is now evident that these promises remain unfulfilled, and instead, we are seeing a rise in youth unemployment, consumer exploitation, and the devastating scourge of drug abuse affecting our communities.

According to the latest statistics, South Africa's youth unemployment rate has surged to over 46%, meaning nearly half of our young population is without work or hope of a stable future. This lack of opportunities only fuels further exploitation, leading young South Africans into low-wage jobs or even worse, into crime or drug abuse.

Beyond youth unemployment, ordinary South Africans are continually exploited by big corporations with little intervention from the leadership. Prices of basic commodities continue to rise unchecked, making it increasingly difficult for families to make ends meet.

Furthermore, the rise in drug abuse is tearing apart the very fabric of our communities. With limited governmental response, we see more young lives lost to addiction, with families left in despair, pleading for change.

This is not the change we were promised, and it is not the leadership we deserve. Our nation stands at a crossroad, and we need a leader who will put the well-being of the people above all else. President Cyril Ramaphosa has failed to deliver on his promises to the South African people. It is time for him to step down and make way for someone who can truly address these critical issues.
