Friends of the Kern River,

In case you haven't seen it, the story of efforts to get water back in the river and this very petition was recently covered in the LA Times, one of the largest newspapers in the U.S. Over 1.3 million people/households now know about our dry river and about efforts to change the status quo and get water back in the river.

The water board hearing is ongoing and will last for several months. We need to keep vigilant on what is happening and make our voices heard that we want water back in the river.
