Doing roadworks in the daytime in Byron Bay is simply not an option. 

An unacceptable and inconsiderate choice of when to carry out this type of work in an already congested area in our single busiest time of the year. 

The effects on businesses, families and the community is one that the council obviously chooses to ignore, however today they must be accountable. 
We understand that the work needs to be done however the disastrous and selfish management as to when this occurs needs to be addressed. 

The list of reasons that this has to cease immediately is endless. 

When even the public services such as the police station and the hospital are inaccessible this becomes a major problem. 

We implore you to cease these works during daytime hours immediately as you are damaging the livelihoods of those who live in and support this region. 

You cannot even bypass the town as all alternate routes are blocked with filmworks and the like. 
The highway is blocked.
