Living in Brightwater, I often find myself having to travel over 6 kilometres to the nearest skatepark in Alexandra. This distance poses a significant inconvenience, not just for me but for numerous other skateboarding enthusiasts in our community who have expressed similar concerns.

Brightwater, with its vibrant community spirit, deserves a local facility that accommodates the interests of its residents. A skatepark in our town would not only support the skateboarding community but also offer a safe, inclusive place for youths and families to enjoy recreational activities. It would encourage an active lifestyle, helping to combat childhood obesity and promote mental well-being.
