I attended Kenmore, and it's overwhelming. The high school is overcrowded, which affects the quality of education and school life for everyone involved. It's not just about academic struggles—students are crammed into classes, teachers are stretched thin, and resources are limited. We need a solution, and that solution is building a new high school between Kenmore and Ipswich.

Overcrowding in schools like ours leads to increased stress among students, diminished individual attention from teachers, and limited access to valuable educational resources. According to a 2019 report from the Queensland Department of Education, schools exceeding their capacity generate an environment where students learn less effectively due to these factors. Currently, Kenmore State High and Ipswich State High are both experiencing swelling student numbers, reaching a point where educational delivery is compromised.

A new high school strategically placed between Kenmore and Ipswich would relieve both existing schools, provide equitable access to education, and foster better academic outcomes. This not only addresses physical overcrowding but also promotes a healthier school culture, where every student has room to grow and learn without limitations.

Local government and educational authorities are aware of the growing demands, yet planning and development for new facilities lag behind the pace of growing student populations. As responsible members of our community, we must advocate for infrastructures that safeguard our future. Education is critical, and we must invest now to pave the way for the next generation.
