The hospitality sector is at breaking point and the knock-on problems that employers and employees will face in 2021 and beyond could see significant social and economic damage that could last for years to come. Lowering the VAT rate to be in line with other European countries to circa 10% could mean more businesses are saved and unemployment could be significantly lowered. 

Lowering the VAT rate charged on all sales to 10% would put us on a level playing field with the international hospitality sector. We are asking for equality to ensure our businesses survive Covid-19’s damaging impact.
