The Women's Mental Health social change group at the 2026 Arkansas Governor's School has taken issue with the lack of access and education for women's mental health in Arkansas leading to the state's 45th Ranking in Women's Mental health as of 2025 as well as 38.9% of Women in Arkansas ages 18-44 being diagnosed with major depressive disorders. There are currently 2 bills in the 119th session of congress that deal with Women's Mental health the Mental Health and Making Access More Affordable ( MAMA) Act and the Pregnancy Loss Mental Health Act. Neither of these have been voted on yet and this petition along with bringing awareness to Women's Mental health is to encourage our Arkansas Representatives and Senators to vote to pass these Acts.
