Calling all Arkoholics!

The Ark has been renewed for season 3 BUT not for people in the UK. Sky Sci Fi, the channel that aired season 1 and 2 have decided not to pick it up for season 3 and, as it currently stands,  nowhere else in the UK has picked it up either. The goal of this petition is to let Sky know that there are people in the UK that love and want to watch this cheesy, hopeful, beautiful show.

I'm aware that some of you reading this may think, "well, why not just pirate it?" But anyone watching this show can see that this is a show that was made with so much love poured into it from the writers, the actors and the crew. To pirate the show would be to let the fruits of their hard labour go unrewarded.

I've still not convinced you?

Fair. But think of it like this. This year, the UK Sci Fi channel decided not to pick up the show. What if next year, the American Syfy channel follows suit? Having this show on multiple channels globally helps to keep this show alive. And I personally do not think that 3 seasons of this show is enough.  I don't imagine I'm the only one. Looking at Rotten Tomatoes, the score for season 2 is much higher than season 1, this show and the audience's love for it is growing and will continue to grow if given the chance.

I call this show cheesy and hopeful and beautiful because it is all of those things. Most importantly, it is hopeful. So many shows these days strive to be real and gritty. Sometimese need something that isn't that. We need something that looks to the future and goes, "you know what? Maybe humanity is going to be ok. Maybe people are good and will come together and build a better tomorrow."
