The Easter egg hunt was launched in 2018 as part of the company’s Easter celebration and allowed users to collect eggs by scanning them with their cameras.

In 2021 Snapchat shut down this feature due to lack of interest and or Covid-19. Although Snapchat hasn’t giving a straight forward answer it’s assumed by most.
