Bring back McDonald's Holiday Film Festival

Bring back McDonald's Holiday Film Festival
The Issue
Back in the 1990s, McDonald's had a unique and memorable tradition known as the Holiday Film Festival. This annual event allowed families to collect beloved movies from Orion Home Video which included Kevin Costner's Oscar Winning hit Dances With Wolves, Paramount Home Entertainment, and Universal Pictures Home Entertainment with the purchase of any large sandwich or Extra Value Meal. These films brought joy and togetherness during the holiday season, offering a sense of nostalgia for everyone who participated. The VHS tapes collected at McDonald's really made great Christmas gifts to many. I have the McDonald's VHS of Charlotte's Web from the 1993 McDonald's Holiday Film Festival which that year also had Ghost, Wayne's World and The Addams Family to help promote Wayne's World 2 and Addams Family Values.
In today's world, where the fast-paced lifestyle often overshadows family moments, we could benefit immensely from a revival of McDonald's Holiday Film Festival. With a fresh approach, this initiative could bring back the sense of community and enjoyment that was its hallmark. By collaborating with contemporary film studios such as Amazon MGM Studios, DreamWorks, Lionsgate, The Walt Disney Company, Warner Bros. Discovery, Sony Pictures Entertainment, and Viva Pictures among many others, McDonald's could introduce a new generation to the magic of film collections that create cherished memories. These films would be available on DVD and Blu-Ray plus Blu-Ray DVD combo packs at varying prices when you buy a large sandwich or meal like the Happy Meal or an extra value meal.
Imagine the excitement of families eager to grab a delightful meal and receive a treasured movie to take home, creating moments of laughter and warmth. This revival can offer more than entertainment; it can strengthen family bonds and generate a tangible sense of comfort and nostalgia during the holidays.
We urge McDonald's and its partners to consider this proposal. By reigniting the beloved tradition of the Holiday Film Festival, they have the opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping family memories once again. Let's come together to bring back an initiative that celebrates togetherness and provides joy during the holiday season.
Please sign this petition to show your support for the return of McDonald's Holiday Film Festival and to remind us all of the wonders that can be brought back to our lives. The return of the McDonald's Holiday Film Festival will have many people saying "I'm Lovin' it", the slogan of McDonald's.
