These games weren’t We’re asking PlayStation and Media Molecule to bring back LittleBigPlanet 1 & 2 with a full remaster for today’s consoles. Because for so many of us, these games were more than just something to play—they were a source of light in a world that sometimes feels too heavy.
In a time where so much feels uncertain, cold, and disconnected, LittleBigPlanet gave us something rare : a space to feel joy, to express ourselves, and to create freely. It wasn’t just a game. It was where we went when life felt too loud. It was comfort. It was imagination. It was heart.
Through its music, charm, and freedom, LBP helped so many people feel seen and inspired. For some of us, it was an escape from pain. For others, it was a way to connect and share our creations with people who understood us. It made us feel like we mattered—our ideas, our levels, our tiny digital worlds could mean something.
And yet, Sackboy—the joyful little symbol of this game and once a proud PlayStation mascot—has been quietly cast aside. It’s not just sad, Its unfair. Sackboy stood for hope, for innocence, for playfulness in a time when those things felt rare. Letting him fade away is like letting go of the part of ourselves that still believes in wonder.
There aren’t many games today that let people pour their heart into something and share it with the world the way LittleBigPlanet did. Remastering LBP 1 and 2 wouldn’t just bring back nostalgia—it would restore something beautiful that the world desperately needs right now: a reminder that joy, creativity, and community still matter.
There’s a certain kind of sadness that never fully leaves you—the kind you don’t even notice happening until it’s too late.
Losing LittleBigPlanet felt like the last time you played at a neighborhood friend’s house, not knowing it would be the last.
It felt like your mom taking you to the park one more time, without realizing it was the final time you'd ever swing under the sun like that.
It felt like saying, “Let’s play tomorrow,” and tomorrow never coming.
That’s what LBP was for so many of us—pure joy, creativity, connection. A childhood comfort we thought would always be there, but somehow slipped away quietly. And what hurts most is not just that it’s gone, but that it feels like nobody noticed.
Please, PlayStation—don’t let this legacy disappear. Give us back the world that gave so many of us light when we needed it most.
" We didn’t know we were making memories, we just knew we were having fun."
Let’s go back to when life was simple, lets go back to LittleBigPlanet.
