Residents in Cowley are without a local Post Office since the Co-op and Post Office in Templars Square shut last year. This isn’t good enough. 

Before it was closed, the Post Office was much-used and deeply valued by the local communities of Florence Park, Cowley, and beyond. A location in Cowley Centre meant that visiting the Post Office could be conveniently combined with visiting the local shops. But now residents have to travel out of the neighbourhood to visit a Post Office. 

We are calling on Redevco (the company who runs Templars Square) and the Post Office Ltd to bring back a Post Office to the site as part of the regeneration efforts at the shopping centre. 

In addition to a Post Office, Labour is working to breathe life back into Templars Square. This includes new community art (already coming in the spring) and the shops and services that local people want to see, like healthcare services.
