BOYCOTT WACHOVIA BANK, & TO OCC & US DEPT OF ED--DO YOUR JOBS!

The Issue

We, American citizens of the USA, particularly the disabled, send this LOUD AND CLEAR message  to Wachovia Bank, President Obama, Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC, the Federal agency whose responsibility it is to regulate & hold national banks such as Wachovia accountable), and Arne Duncan, US Dept. of Ed Secretary.

The message is this: DO YOUR JOBS AND STOP ALLOWING WACHOVIA BANK TO CONTINUE SUBMITTING ERRONEOUS, NEGATIVE CREDIT NOTATIONS TO THE CREDIT BUREAUS.

When a citizen has been on Total & Permanent Disability (which means the person is no longer able to work) for three years, the US Dept. of Ed is supposed to place any outstanding student loans in forgiveness status.

In May of 2010, the US Dept. of Ed is supposed to place my student loans in forgiveness status for this reason. During the past several years that I have been dealing with this "bureaucracy from HELL," several erroneous, negative notations have been placed on my credit reports, in spite of the fact that I have been REPEATEDLY been sent e-mails by Thaddeus.Bartkowiak@ed.gov (US Dept. of Ed Student Financial Aid Ombudsman), stating that the erroneous, negative notations were removed, but then, lo and behold, I discover from the three credit bureaus, Equifax, Experion, and TransUnion, that these negative notations remain. AT NO TIME, AS THE US DEPT. OF ED IS WELL AWARE, MY STUDENT LOANS HAVE NEVER BEEN IN ARREARS. WHEN NOT MAKING PAYMENTS, THEY WERE ALWAYS IN AN APPROVED DEFERMENT OR FORBEARANCE STATUS, BUT NEVER LATE OR IN ARREARS.

Because Wachovia Bank and the US DOE (not only the US DOE Ombudsman, whose e-mail address is in bold-type in the above paragraph, but Arne.Duncan@ed.gov, as well, refuse to respond to my e-mails and have decided to simply ignore me (so much for government openness, transparency, and accountability), so I filed a Complaint against Wachovia Bank with the OCC (Office of the Comptroller of the Currency), but they refuse to respond, as well:

There is no excuse for this whatsoever--no excuse at all for a national bank and two government agencies to allow a disabled citizen's credit reports to be so undeservedly trashed, and they should be held accountable.

Therefore, these perpetrators deserve to be inundated with e-mails, faxes, and phone calls demanding that they communicate with Complainants via e-mail, stop ignoring their Complaints, and STOP TRASHING CREDIT REPORTS WITH ERRONEOUS, NEGATIVE NOTATIONS!

(Please don't send me messages on or from Facebook. I have not used Facebook for well over a year, as they were quite nasty to me when I was on there. So you know, I have, of course, filed disputes with the credit bureaus, but all they do is send an inquiry to the creditor, and if the creditor fails to respond or "claims" the negative notation is valid, they take their word against yours. They won't remove a negative notation unless the creditor agrees to do so.)
