We live in a world where the financial gap between the rich and the poor continues to widen. Billionaires, specifically those at the helm of US tech/internet industries such as Facebook, Amazon and Instagram, among others, continue to accumulate wealth at an unprecedented rate. As per Forbes 2021, the collective net worth of US billionaires jumped by $1.2 trillion, partially due to the rapid increase in technology use amid the pandemic. We believe in the power of the people and suggest boycotting these billionaire-owned businesses as a means to curb this excessive economic imbalance. We appeal to all global citizens to support local, smaller businesses and contribute to a more just distribution of wealth. This does not just apply to product purchases, but also using and promoting alternative services that aren't contributing to this disparity. Be aware of where your money is going.
