The eligibility for BNSW State Senior Championships in 2024/25 season (which ends 30 June 2025) is aged 60 as at 4 October 2025.

This date that is 3+ months into 2025/26 season allows persons aged 58 or above to enter & play in Senior Championships this coming season.

For Regions playing Championships prior to October 2024 (95%) this means a 58 year old can win those championships then go to State Finals & win as a 59 year old then back up next season & win regional title again as a 59 year old - Multiple Senior Titles before even reaching 60 years of age!!

After repeated attempts to change this with SMC who have not budged, the only thing that may get change is if enough members disagree that it forced a new strategy from BNSW.

A player under 60 has State &/or Reserve Championships as well there is an O40 & U59 State Pairs competition to play in & Seniors championships should be ONLY for those aged 60 & above.

For the record I am not a Senior player, yet but believe in fair & equitable eligibility rules.
