As the Covid-19 cases start to increase, and areas begin to go into Tier 3, schools and colleges remain open.

Schools and colleges are important to stay open to educate the youth and to prevent bigger gaps in learning.

As this remains the case, school leaders, teachers and support staff continue to be on the front line at a much higher risk to the virus. It is known that schools are one of the most likely settings for a Covid-19 outbreak.

It is important that the virus is detected at the most earliest stage if all educational settings are to remain open through national or local lockdowns.  

This is a request for regular testing to be available in schools for all staff members, similar to the testing in care homes.
