Why this petition matters

Started by Reece Buckley

People with a learning disability, life limited illness or those in care don’t have enough guidance under Covid-19 to be able to see their family members.  My sister has a severe learning disability and Down’s syndrome and lives in residential Care, she doesn’t understand how to use technology, can’t  read or use a phone and definitely does not understand what Covid-19 is . Our family have not been able to see her since March and she doesn’t understand why. Yet schools and takeaways can stay open with limited guidance. Care homes are scared , understandably, of their clients catching the illness. But CQC and central government MUST issue better guidance so that we as family members don’t miss out loved ones more than need be.
