Local shops can sell takeaway alcohol but pubs are not allowed. This is a crucial revenue stream for an industry already on its knees. Furlough payments only cover a fraction of costs. If local pubs are going to survive this lockdown they need every bit of help they can get. We need the government to overturn this rule before it is too late
