Phew!!! Therapists had an extremely busy day yesterday and all of last week calling insurance plans and getting SO many mixed messages from BCBS reps. There are no set guidelines for therapists yet as far as billing, so many of us are trialing out some teletherapy sessions, knowing these services may be denied. But seeing our kids via video is worth it! Teletherapy is a proven practice to maintain and make progress for our clients. We cannot lose steam on Early Intervention as well! Please keep reaching out to the Bureau of Early Intervention and to the governor to approve telehealth services! Yesterday they came out with a statement that they have a team working on it, but we need to put the pressure on! Thousands of children across Illinois could possibly go weeks without services! This is not acceptable! Keep sharing the petition with friends and family. Thanks for all your support in this journey so far!
