So the idea is, is that our average marks so far are taken and set as a bench mark, so long as we hand everything in and pass our grades can go up but not down!

So if I'm on a 2.1 for example and get a 2.2 on one of my assessments my grade won't be effected overall, however if I get a 1st it'll pull my average up!

The aim is to will to help relieve anxiety if people know they're guaranteed a minimum based on how they've worked so far! Its fair and won't disadvantage anyone! This is working in other Unis such as Exeter, it still promotes working and doesn't discredit anyone's effort in their degree, and still allows people to improve on their current marks!
