Florida's medical marijuana market should not be restricted to just five growers with law maker imposed patient caps restricting expansion.  The Undersigned respectfully request that barriers to entry be removed (limits on number of growers, patient caps, 30 year business requirements, 400,000 plant requirement, exorbitant application fees), Florida universities be allowed to conduct cannabis research, patients allowed limited home cultivation, decouple requirements for cannabis business vertical integration, require third-party lab testing and reporting of pesticides used, allow expanded use for medical conditions based on four decades of Israeli science based research, require science based education for consumers developed by a qualified third party, remove barriers to smoking if recommended by a doctor, and allow small, medium, and military veteran entrepreneurs to enter the market place providing they pass a security check, and are not deemed by the courts as bad actors within the community. The aforementioned are citizen friendly requests that promote business, keep costs low for patients, base decisions on science, and involve the public.
