Drop out of the race for President

Drop out of the race for President
The Issue
This is the most important moment in modern history, and the soul of the nation hangs in the balance. You can do your part simply by dropping out of the race, right now.
Eric Swalwell is an American hero for this reason alone, and you can join him just by doing what the vast majority of people in the country already desperately want you to do.
Yes, running for president raises your political profile, and there may even be some very clear long term financial gains for you in seeking this sort of national exposure.
This is not the time to be selfish or careerist though. Maybe you earnestly thought you had a shot and it's just not catching on the way you had hoped. That's OK, because one simple act will make you an American patriot: drop out now.
Our president is a daily national embarrassment, at a scope and scale that is utterly without precedent. Nothing less than the entire future of the world is at stake. We cannot compound this catastrophic daily national embarrassment with our inability to band together and focus only on defeating this clown in a landslide. Focus means editing, and if you are at or under 2%, you are an unhelpful distraction at best, and you need to edit yourself out of the race asap.
Position yourself now for a position in the new administration, but just stop pretending you have a chance to win, or that only you can defeat Trump. Right now, we need to form a squad of extraordinary competence, to unseat this disastrous presidency. Start helping by energizing voters and gathering registrations in battleground states. We need you out there helping, we don't need you angling hopelessly on a crowded debate stage. Whatever media attention you are managing right now is dwarfed one billion fold by the train wreck non-stop Trump coverage that we're going up against here.
Every scientist, artist, musician, and cool non-racist human being in the country is 100% with you, literally without exception. Get out and campaign for someone that has a real chance, and you'll meet only good and hard working people. It will change your life, and if you make it all into an introspective travel log, maybe it'll even get published and then optioned as a movie. There are better ways to get exposure than running for president, you just need to think outside the box, and then focus in on something that will help destroy this fool in a historic landslide defeat.
Good luck to the following true candidates for President: Kamala Harris, Pete Buttigieg, Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, and Joe Biden.
If you don't see your name on that list, please leave. That means like 20 of you. Beto, we can't blame you for trying, you running against the most loathsome caricature of a person in the universe does make you automatically likable, but it's just not working out. Corey, I honestly think you could have won it all in 2016 and so you could have prevented this whole nightmare, but politics is about timing - just ask your fellow garden stater Chris Christie. Amy, sorry, but you have to blame your staff for betraying you, that story is permanently burned into everyone's mind and Trump would destroy you with it. Warren has a similarly bad "sticky" vulnerability but people got past it in her case, it is what it is. Yang, you got some exposure for your pet Universal Basic Income issue, can't you just call that a win and find other ways of getting it talked about?
Thank you all for dropping out. Do it now and you're a hero, let it drag and you could risk contributing to a catastrophe. Everyone band together, and if you do, we can all win this thing together. A landslide win will covert this to an embarrassing but short episode in our history, but a loss to Trump in the general would be unspeakably dystopian. Your cooperation with this petition is much appreciated by your great-great-great-grandchildren.
