Berkeley County Citizens Berkeley County SC There is currently a search for a new Director of EMS. I believe that a search is a waste of time. EMS is in need of proven leadership by someone who is invested in the community. We deserve a leader who is driven by the desire to shape the best EMS system in the state/country. The citizens/employees have suffered during the last year and a half. The citizens and personnel need not suffer a day longer. Reinstate Robert "Bob" Mixter. Bob lives in Berkeley County. Don't the citizens deserve an Director who lives locally. Not a director who has to commute. Someone who cares deeply about the citizens and the community. Don't the citizens of Berkeley County deserve a director who knows the system. A director who has author a 20 year growth plan that is financially feasible. (A 20 year growth plan show dedication to the service/ community for the long term.) The community deserves a leader who will not use the position to pad their resume for the next job. Bob is truly invested in the community. He feels deeply about your concerns, about your needs, and about the care you receive. Bob can hit the ground running. He does not need time to learn the job, he knows the job. We all pray that you never need to call 911. Yet, we also pray that when you call 911, you get the best possible care under the best possible leadership.
