Hey Belmont Green Space supporters. Paul here. This is just a note to all of you that Belmont's Board of Selectmen will introduce and debate a compromise design for the Town Lawn/Green Space in Belmont Center. The agenda has them introducing the plan and debating it starting just after 8:00 PM in the Selectmen's Hearing Room at Town Hall. This is is a compromise design, proposed by our own Bonnie Friedman, and worked on in conjunction with Ralph Jones and Andy Rojas - both Town Meeting members and former selectmen. It follows our successful effort to have Town Meeting vote to urge the Board to return to the original design on August 6th. While the BOS has refused to do that, they have been open to a compromise on the Town Lawn that responds to some of the criticisms of their revised design. I've provided a link to the new plan.
