Thank you for choosing to visit this petition, let me preface this by saying I’ve been a resident of Cantley for 30 years and I remember the days without internet leading into dial-up. My family and I were with Videotron for a number of years but switched to Bell when they became available, and for the most part the service has been satisfactory. 

I recently became aware of Fibe being connected through Cantley into Mont Cascades Village. With the new CRTC laws requiring high speed be made available in rural areas and the ever increasing number of residents. I can’t imagine why it isn’t possible that we, the residents of Cantley, be afforded our rights to High speed internet. 

We pay a significant amount of money in bills to Bell each month for services such as Crave tv, which for the most part is laggy and skippy and just not good to use when all you’ve got is 5 mgs download. There are drop offs of access to wifi as well as multiple dead zones in Cantley and the surrounding areas. My mother needs a stable internet connection to submit orders for medication as well as access her messaging and call service. How many people have to make sure everyone’s wifi is off to watch a show on Netflix?

I want to keep this as brief as possible so if you or anyone you know who lives in Cantley and uses Bell services would like to see Fibe internet as early as possible please sign this petition. If you need access to high speed for either business or pleasure, or in some cases in order to access medical services, submit orders etc... please sign this petition.
