Don't be fooled, the current building industry is in a "Shemozzle"!

There are builders who are about to loose their licence due to their inability to comply with basic standards and are still signing contracts with unsuspecting homeowners.  This failing system does not protect homeowners.  The system provides the builder with so many chances that more and more homeowners are spending ten's to hundred's of thousands of dollars just protecting their rights and their homes.

What is the QBCC doing to regulate and ensure homeowners aren't the victims to the very rogue builders they licence.  Let them sign more contracts, not have their systems reflect real time offences and force the homeowner down a judicial road where they must comply with legislation and due process, while the builder can say and delay as much as they want.

The QBCC has the same processes as The Department of Veteran Affairs!  The hurry up and wait process and lets wait the victim out.  The homeowner/veteran will either die, commit suicide or give up; this means we don't protect or pay the victim and retain revenue.  Make no mistake this 'Home Warranty Insurance Scheme' is a revenue raiser.
