Master Builders have services to support members to operate professional & profitable businesses that deliver superior quality outcomes to their customers. The QBCC allege they are regulating to protect Queensland HomeOwners.
HomeOwners say they need......??
They say you can tell the cultural of a business or organisation through the way they handle complaints. In the past 2 years the organisation entities I have engaged with have maintained a protection for membership for builders who aren’t compliant with their licencing conditions, basic building standards, liability insurance, professional & ethical conduct demonstrably provide a picture of complicity within their own organisations professionalism and ethical conduct.
Homeowners & the community expect your organisation to act with transparency, accountability, & integrity — set the example of standards & values that are foundational to the trust placed in your association.
So I say to homeowners; what does that look like to you?
How can these organisations & companies provide you with better confidence?
Leave your message or experience to show the building industry what is needed!
Are any of these ideas helpful to HomeOwners?
(a) Upon signing a HIA, MasterBuilders or QBCC Contract with your builder & Home Warranty Insurance Premium is paid every HomeOwner receives a pack with the fundamental requirements to be aware of moving forward?
(b) Would a HomeOwner Advocacy hotline separate to the QBCC helpful to receive information or direction of where to go with your issues?
(c) Legislative change to the HWI be increased to reflect current market costings?
(d) Better transparency & procedural fairness in line with other government judicial systems e.g QCAT.
