The Juan de Fuca Marine Trail is an increasingly popular hiking trail that stretches between China beach and Botanical beach. The trail is suffering heavily from a lack of upkeep over the past decade that need to be addressed promptly. Almost every staircase that was installed to safely ascend/descend slopes is rotten and missing steps. Boardwalks and bridges are falling over/crooked, rotten and missing boards; and there are dangerous slopes that have been created by excessive traffic with no maintenance.

Furthermore, sections of the trail have been closed since March 3rd due to "downed trees". Staff need to be assigned to this immediately so the trail can be reopened, as the busy hiking season began back in April!
