BBC News to end media bias by replacing James Harding.

BBC News to end media bias by replacing James Harding.
The Issue
Since the appointment of James Harding to head of BBC News in 2013, the way that the corporation reports - and, frequently, chooses not to report - the news has become biased.
Jeremy Corbyn is constantly maligned and his every action scrutinised in minute detail. It has clearly become policy that he be always given the epithet 'the left-wing Labour leader'.
David Cameron, conversely, is never referred to as 'the right-wing Conservative leader', despite the fact that his party's policies are arguably more extreme than Corbyn's. Recent public protests against the Tories have, since early 2015, either not been reported at all or else given but cursory reference. During the recent scandal involving the Prime Minister's dubious finances, the BBC had their articles regarding the issue as the third news item of the day. During the week of 4th-10th April, it was preceded by items on the Archbishop of Canterbury's paternity test to establish his true father and even an item on all dog owners having to microchip their pets. The protests against the government were not, nor have they ever been, reported on in any depth at all.
Editorial decisions such as the above make the BBC, a corporation funded principally through the television licence, appear biased and as though they are deliberately attempting to misinform, influence or keep ignorant the public who pay for it.
This was not the case before Mr Harding's stewardship.
Mr Harding, as erstwhile editor of The Times newspaper, a right-wing publication owned by Rupert Murdoch, a man not famed for sponsoring transparent or unbiased journalism, is arguably not a fitting appointment to the job of head of BBC News. Furthermore, his being a close personal friend of George Osborne, Chancellor of the Exchequer, means that the BBC's impartiality is severely compromised.
It is manifestly wrong that, as those who fund BBC employees' wages, members of the public are being made to pay for a service that corrupts the news and shows alarming levels of cronyism and bias.
Under Mr Harding, the BBC is in danger of becoming the publicity wing of the Conservative Party and right wing policy-makers. In the interests of fair reporting and democracy, it should remain apolitical. Harding must be dismissed.
