The Issue

Our health is everything, and I've become increasingly concerned about the prevalence of rapeseed oil and other seed oils in our diet. Many of these oils are heavily processed and contain high levels of omega-6 fatty acids, which, when consumed in excess, can lead to health issues such as inflammation and heart disease.

Numerous studies have shown that the rise in the consumption of seed oils is linked to the increase in chronic health problems. According to the American Heart Association, increased omega-6 fatty acid consumption can raise the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Moreover, these oils are often subjected to chemical refining methods that may leave residues, potentially posing additional health risks.

There are healthier alternatives available, such as olive oil, coconut oil, and avocado oil, which are less processed and offer beneficial nutrients. Transitioning to these alternatives in our food production processes can promote better public health outcomes without compromising on flavor or culinary quality.

It's time for food manufacturers and policy makers to reconsider the ingredients used in our food products, prioritize public health, and shift towards the use of healthier oils. By signing this petition, you will encourage regulatory bodies and food companies to make a positive change for our health and well-being.
