There is a very popular dog trainer on social media called TheDogDaddy who routinely abuses and manhandles dogs in the name of 'training'.  His methods include hitting dogs and choking them, all while the dog is often wearing a prong collar. This causes serious physical and mental harm to dogs - and it is becoming normalised to the general public who are being promised quick fixes for complex behaviours - often the result of fear - that need investigating with the support of an ethical and qualified professional.  

Putting a dog into a stressful situation so they are forced over threshold emotionally and forced to react out of fear and then punishing them for their reactions is not training. This is just creating sensational content. This is about power and ego.  It is this sort of treatment that creates dogs that bite simply because they have no choice - all of their methods of communication have been 'corrected', suppressed, ignored or punished. 

None of this is about improving the lives of dogs and their guardians. 

Please sign this petition and let the UK government know that we do not want this person working in our country and we do not want his content on social media influencing young people on unethical practices.

It's time to regulate this industry, and stop bullies from causing harm to dogs and teaching millions of others on social media to do the same. Dogs deserve better.
