As students we currently have to do Edmentum weekly.  I think Edmentum should be banned from schools because it puts extra stress that isn’t required on us students and it makes us do more work than is necessary. 

At my school Edmentum is a weekly grade so we have to work really hard to get it done on time. The issue with this is that it is putting more stress on us to finish things on time. Furthermore the Edmentum curriculum is hard to put into an everyday classroom because it teaches things differently than most teachers. The questions are worded weird and it is hard to understand. 

To solve some of the problems Edmentum has you take a bunch of extra steps to get one answer, and this is for something that is pointless and unnecessary anyway. It’s not like we learn anything from Edmentum, if anything it confuses students on how to actually solve the problem. 

I took a poll to see who likes Edmentum in my school, students and teachers were included in the poll, of all my classmates and teachers no one said that they liked Edmentum. 

Due to all of these reasons I think Edmentum should be banned from schools. We need to take action now because there is a major lack of engagement in Edmentum. Many students find the platform unengaging and monotonous. This can lead to decreased motivation and interest in learning. There are also ineffective learning outcomes, some studies suggest that online platforms like Edmentum do not always produce better academic results compared to traditional teaching methods. Students may struggle without direct interaction with teachers, leading to gaps in understanding.
